Day 1, take a flight to Mekelle.
Up on arrival, meet and greet the guide and driver/s. Take a coffee break and drive to Hamed’ela, a first camp site in Danakil depression.it will be an intro for the high temperature.160km.late afternoon visit the salt extraction and camel caravans around lake Asale transporting bare salt from Danakil to highlanders. Day 2, Dallol-Erta’ale
In a morning, visit the colourful sulphur surface and head to Erta’ale. Take a break. Have snacks and start trekking to 613 m top mountain about 45 mminutes where the active volcano is firing. dinner will be sent behind and stay a night on the top.
Day 3, walk down to the campsite. After breakfast drive to wukro. 230km.o/n lodge.
Day 4, Wukro-Gheralta
In the after breakfast, visit wukro cherkos rock-hewn hewn church built in the 4th century in the nearby area.Medahnialem Adikesho and AbrehawoAtsebha rock churches. O.n Gheralta lodge.80km
Day 5, Gheralta
