        For many centuries harar is ruled by muslim leaders known as emir but Ras mekonnen, the father of h/ Selassie ruled the city during minilik the second time.still his palace is one site inside the walled city.
        Another impressive event at harar is hyena man. It is a practice of feeding the wild hyena in every evening as a ritual for many years.
